As well as being the number one job for women, lifeguard’s land the ninth spot on the list for men.

The second most right-swiped job for men is primary school teacher, which goes to show men who are tasked with shaping the minds of the future are racking up the matches this year. 

For women the second most right-swiped profession are cabin crew members, proving that people are attracted to those who are well travelled. 

Male firefighters and female nurses also made the top ten, coming in at third place, with Tinder users gravitating to those with heroic professions.

There was also a variety of interesting and unsuspecting professions that made the cut this year, such as dive instructor, which is sixth place for men, and bartenders, which came in at number four for women. 

A new entry on the list this year is nutritionist, which comes in at tenth place on the women’s list and indicates a changing attitude to health.

Another new profession is physiotherapist, which is fifth on the male list.

The creative industries also got a look in this year as dance teacher and interior designer are fifth and eight respectively on the female list.

For men, the creative position is photographer, which landed at tenth on the list.

This possibly reflects the rise in job roles for millennials and Gen Z’s in these fields.
