SYDNEY (AP) – Sydney FC has introduced the signing of former Ajax captain Siem de Jong on a one-year mortgage from the Dutch membership.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder and former Netherlands worldwide received 4 Eredivisie titles throughout his first spell with Ajax from 2008 to 2014. He took half in two English Premier League campaigns with Newcastle United earlier than being loaned to PSV and returning to Ajax.
Sydney coach Steve Corica mentioned de Jong is a technically gifted participant who “scores targets and creates them for others as effectively.”
De Jong joins former Studying striker Adam le Fondre whose signing was introduced by Sydney final week. Sydney has one import spot to fill for the 2018-2019 A-League season.
