A surfer has drowned at a well-liked seashore in Sydney’s north.
Emergency crews rushed to South Avalon Headland at Avalon Seaside simply earlier than 9am on Tuesday after witnesses reported a surfer in misery.
Fellow surfers pulled the person, in his 60s, from the water and desperately tried to revive him till paramedics arrived, however he died on the scene.
‘About seven or eight younger surfers discovered him…They managed to get him up onto the rocks and began CPR immediately,’ a witness instructed the Manly Each day.
‘The paramedics then took over, however they could not save him.’
The person is but to be formally recognized.
Officers from Northern Seashores Police Space Command are making inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the person’s loss of life.
A report can be ready for the coroner.
