ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. (AP) – Officers say a teenage boy has been bitten by a shark alongside the North Carolina coast close to Atlantic Seaside.
Atlantic Seaside Hearth Chief Adam Snyder tells information retailers that the 14-year-old was browsing Sunday afternoon when he was bitten twice on the best calf. Snyder says the shark let go of the boy’s leg when it realized the leg wasn’t a fish.
Snyder says the teenager then swam to shore with non-life-threatening accidents. He says the teenager was handled at a hospital and obtained stitches.
Information retailers report that is the primary shark chunk this season close to Atlantic Seaside.
